Knitting for kids is so much fun -- their garments are quick and easy to make, and they're generally much more colorful than the ones we make for ourselves or other adults. AND -- baby blankets will never go out of style! At Fibers, we have a lot of moms, grandmas, aunts and big sisters knitting very special kids! Here's a sample of what they've made.
Anne made this Fixation sweater for her grandson. It's a Penny Straker classic -- owls that you can see if you look for their little button eyes! |
Different grandchild, different pattern, but also Fixation! It stretches and makes a great sweater that grows with its owner. Didn't Anne do a great job? |
Netta with one of the many special blankets she's knitted for her grandchildren. Every square is special to the child it's made for and the entire blanket is made with love! | Click the photo to see I LOVE YOU knitted into this special sweater for Kate! Netta must have one of the largest stashes of yarn you've ever seen, and she knows how to use it to terrific advantage! |
| When you knit an Elizabeth Zimmerman Baby Surprise Jacket, you never know what it's going to be when you're done -- maybe the Denver airport, maybe a Tuna Noodle Casserole... no wait! Surprise! It's a baby jacket! | |
