Chemo Caps

My mother and sister both survived breast cancer. Karyn, whom many of you remember from the first 4 years of Fibers, survived ovarian cancer twice. One of our beloved reps recently gave up her struggle against a rare form of gynecological cancer. Many of our customers are dealing with cancer and many more are spouses, sisters, aunts and mothers watching their loved ones deal with it.

Chemo caps are easy to make from just one skein of Berroco Chinchilla. Other super-soft yarns will work, too. Remember that men and boys need them, too -- sometimes they like less "flowery" colors!

If you're lucky enough not to know anyone who needs one, consider donating them to your local Oncology Center.

If you live in our area, bring them in to Fibers anytime. This is an ongoing project for us, and we will always make sure that donated caps get to the Chemo Centers to make the people who need them feel taken care of.
