Project Linus of Nevada County

Our local chapter of Project Linus is dedicated to making a blanket available to every child who needs one. Since they "opened shop" in 2005, they've distributed over 2100 hundred blankets, made and distributed in Nevada County.

If you have the skill, and especially if you have yarn you don't know what to do with, please consider making a blanket for a child in the hospital or other scary situation. Older kids need blankets, too, so if you have the time and the yarn, consider super-sizing your effort and putting a smile on an older kid's face. We all love doing things for itsy-bitsy little girls, but teen-age boys need boy-themed and boy-color blankets just as much as the girls need frilly and girly ones.

You are always welcome to ask us if we have donated yarn that can be used for a Project Linus blanket. Just remember that your karma is following you like a shadow, and don't forget to bring in the completed blanket!!
